NHL: Chicago 5, Toronto 4 (OT)


TORONTO, Nov. 23 (UPI) --

Dave Bolland's goal 49 seconds into overtime Saturday lifted the Chicago Blackhawks to a 5-4 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs.

The contest went to overtime after third-period goals by Patrick Kane and Ben Eager helped Chicago erase a 4-2 deficit. Eager's third goal this season at 12:27 of the third created a 4-4 tie after regulation.

Patrick Sharp scored twice and has a team-leading 12 goals to date. Both Brian Campbell and Duncan Keith had two assists, while goalie Nikolay Khabibulin was credited with 34 saves on 38 shots for the Blackhawks, winners in seven of its last 10 games.

Toronto got a goal and an assist from Alexei Ponikarovsky. Three others scored once, and Vesa Toskala was beaten five times on 36 shots in the Maple Leafs' third straight defeat.

Both clubs went 1-for-3 on the power play.
