Scientology - Sword Yielding Man Shot To Death At Scientology Celebrity Centre
HOLLYWOOD, Ca., Nov.24 (TOTI) -- An unidentified man was shot to death outside of the Scientology Celebrity Centre in Hollywood early yesterday afternoon.

According to reports, a man believed to be in his 40's approached the center carrying two Samarai swords, and when he started swinging them at security officers at the complex, a guard shot and killed the man. Two other security officers were involved in the attack.

Investigators are looking for the swordsman's motive and believe that he was affiliated with the congregation
several years ago.

Security cameras captured the incident on film and police stated the shooting was done out of self defense.

Deputy Chief Terry S. Hara of the Los Angeles Police Department said, "The evidence is very clear the security officers were defending their safety."

Names of the victim and the security guards involved in the shooting haven't been released.

The Scientology Celebrity Center caters to "artists, politicians, leaders of industry, sports figures and anyone with the power and vision to create a
better world." according to their website.

Famous members of Scientology include Tom Cruise, Juliette Lewis, Lisa Marie Presley and John Travolta. The Religon was founded by L. Ron Hubbard in 1952.
