Leah Remini Denies She's Trying To Convert Jennifer Lopez To Scientology

by Alan Henderson in gossip

Leah Remini Wonders Where Anyone Would Ever Get The Idea That She's Recruiting Jennifer Lopez Into The Dangerous Cult Of Scientology

Leah Remini wants to set the record straight when it comes to rumors that she's been trying to convert J-Lo to Scientology. According to the cute actress from the recently cancelled "King Of Queens", it's not her intention.

There were lots of questions in the press when you were first spotted hanging out with Jennifer Lopez – speculation that it was some kind of Scientology thing. Two girls can't hang out together? What does that have to do with religion? I just don't understand it. I would never question, "Such-and-such is hanging out. Does anybody know her religious beliefs? Because that's why they're probably hanging out together." She's a fabulous girl. I'm fabulous to hang out with. But it's like, "What could these two have in common? She must be trying to convert her!"

Leah Remini Must Not Know About Scientology's Terrible Reputation

She says this type of rumor upsets her:

I read once that I was trying to get Jennifer to do Scientology because it helps with fertility. I don't know what that's about. That's bull – that we're sitting there at the Polo Lounge talking about fertility. I think Jennifer knows how to get pregnant.

She claims it doesn't upset her too bad.

That kind of stuff is funny. When I read that kind of stuff, I go, "that's not true! We weren't talking about that." Or that we believe in the aliens. My hairstylist believes in aliens. Why doesn't that get printed? She says she has been abducted a few times!

It doesn't get printed, Leah, because your hairdresser is not famous, like you are. And BTW, Leah, since you brought it up Scientologists do believe in Aliens. Quite a bit, in fact:

Scientology does teach that many of our problems are caused by the spirits of space aliens that are stuck to our bodies. However, that teaching is considered confidential and is only taught to Scientologists who have reached a certain level, known in Scientology as OT III - so a lot of Scientologists are actually unaware that this is an important Scientology teaching

Perhaps Leah Remini has not achieved the "Operating Thetan" level of her enlightenment with Scientology, or maybe she's just a dumbass who is actually trying to recruit J-Lo into the fold, despite knowing nothing about the horrors that undoubtedly await her, because she hasn't boned up on the dangers of Scientology.

What's your verdict on Ms. Remini's statements?
