Atlantic Monthly To Apologize To John McCain For Jill Greenberg's Photography

The Atlantic Monthly isn't proud or happy with the work that contortionist photographer Jill Greenberg did under their guise.

The editor of the magazine issued a statement saying that the publication is going to apologize to Republican Presidential candidate, John McCain for the pictures that they contracted Jill Greenberg to do for them.

She was contracted to take pictures for the cover of their October issue and took advantage of the situation by taking other snapshots that incorporated bad lighting and were doctored using Photoshop, then publishing them on her personal website.

James Bennet, Editor of Atlantic Monthly, told Fox News that Greenberg wouldn't be getting paid for her work and they are considering a lawsuit against her for her misdeeds. Bennet said, "She has violated the terms of our agreement with her, of our contract with her so we're taking steps... So we're looking into what steps we can see to do something about that. I mean this photographer went in there under our auspices to take a cover shot for us, but while she was there she behaved in an incredibly underhanded and unprofessional way." He also said that the publication is in the process of drafting a formal apology to John McCain.

The Atlantic used one of her photos for the cover and Bennett stands behind that decision - he says he thinks it's a "great" picture and that readers can make their own decision regarding it - Greenberg admitted to leaving McCain's eyes looking red and his skin looking bad. What Greenberg didn't admit to was not having enough ethics to turn down the work because of the obvious conflict of interest.
