Call girl booker gets probation
NEW YORK, Nov. 26 (UPI) --
A Manhattan judge has sentenced an employee of the call girl ring that serviced former New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer to one year's probation.
Tanya Hollander, 36, could have received jail time and a fine for arranging illegal sex romps for patrons of the Emperors Club VIP, the New York Post reported Wednesday.
Judge Deborah Batts ruled that as a part-time scheduler Hollander played only a minimal
role in the prostitution business.
Hollander, from upstate New York, was the first of four defendants to face a penalty for running a call girl ring.
Batts never mentioned Spitzer by name but pointedly referred to the announcement by U.S. Attorney Michael Garcia that the former governor would not be charged, the Post reports.
