COL BKB: Oklahoma 77, UAB 67

NEW YORK, Nov. 27 (UPI) --

Taylor Griffin's two free throws started a game-closing 15-5 run Wednesday that carried No. 13 Oklahoma to a 77-67 win over Alabama-Birmingham.

The Sooners (5-0) reached the championship game of the NIT Season Tip-off, where they will meet No. 9 Purdue. The Blazers fell to 4-1.

Alabama-Birmingham owned a five-point halftime lead and the contest remained close throughout the second half.

Griffin went to the line with 4:36 to play and the game tied at 62-62. His two free throws were soon followed by a dunk from Austin Johnson and the Sooners pulled away down the stretch.

Blake Griffin made 11 of 14 shots, scored 32 points and claimed 15 rebounds to lead Oklahoma. Paul Delaney III had 23 to pace the Blazers.
