Woman alleges workplace orgy in lawsuit
MINNEAPOLIS, Nov. 29 (UPI) --
A Minnesota woman has alleged in a discrimination lawsuit against the Hilton Minneapolis that she came across a workers' orgy at the hotel.
Deborah Smith said while working as the manager of the hotel's SkyWater restaurant, she allegedly found several members of the hotel's upper management engaged in sexual acts in one of the site's banquet rooms, The St. Paul (Minn.) Pioneer Press said Friday.
The 43-year-old woman alleges in her U.S. District Court lawsuit that she was discriminated against and ultimately fired after reporting the workplace incident.
Plaintiff Smith was fired after she opened the door to a banquet room at the Hilton. Inside this room, she discovered an orgy involving Hilton upper management,
the suit alleges.
Cocktail server April Bezdichek, 25, and bartender Harley Gayle, 41, were also named as plaintiffs in the suit filed on Wednesday.
Details regarding the alleged sexual incident were not available, nor were details concerning allegations made by Bezdichek and Gayle.
The Pioneer Press said Smith is seeking unspecified punitive damages and a civil penalty for alleged acts of sex discrimination and sexual harassment.
