Daniel Shay, a level three sex offender recently had a bit of luck. He purchased a $20.00 scratch off lottery ticket at Cumberland Farms in Hopedale, Massachusetts and won $10 million dollars.

Although the winnings are rightfully his, many people are outraged that a sex offender could win the lottery and petitioned to get the ticket revoked.

Shay stated that he plans on using the winnings to further his children's education. He hasn't been convicted of any crimes since the 80's and has served his time for the crimes he committed.

The lottery said they will not revoke his winnings. That can only be done when winners have liens or outstanding debts.
