Cyrus McGowan had 14 points and eight rebounds Saturday while leading the 21st-ranked Miami (Fla.) Hurricanes to a 79-65 win over Stetson.

Dwayne Collins added 12 points and seven rebounds and Jack McClinton 12 points and six assists for the Hurricanes (4-1), whose lone loss was to 2nd-ranked UConn last Sunday.

Garfield Blair had 25 points and seven rebounds for the losing Hatters (2-3). Kris Thomas added 14 points.

With the score tied early in the first half, Miami went on a 9-0 run to take a 20-11 lead on James Dews' 3-pointer.
