Taylor Lautner On "Twilight" Craze
Lautner, 16, recently told Teen magazine, "After I booked (the part of Jacob) I checked out the fan sites, like twighlightlexicon.com and twilightmoms.com and it was crazy. Then at my school, girls were reading it left and right. In my chemistry class, I looked to my left and a girl was reading Twilight, and then in another class, a girl was reading New Moon. It was pretty hilarious."
It's not only teenagers drawn to the vampire love story.
Lautner continued, "I even had a substitute teacher once who said 'I heard you were going to be in Twilight, that's my favorite book!'"
Twilight has brought in over $119 million dollars in box office receipts since its' release on November 21, 2008.
The movie was #2 film over the Thanksgiving weekend in box office receipts, beat out by the holiday comedy Four Christmases starring Reese Witherspoon and Vince Vaughn.
Over the weekend Twilight brought in $39.6 million, according to the Los Angeles-based industry analysis firm Media By Numbers.
