Dallas's Roy Williams to miss 3-4 weeks
IRVING, Texas, Sept. 16 (UPI) -- Dallas safety Roy Williams, a five-time Pro Bowl selection, will miss 3-4 weeks of play while recovering from a broken arm.

Williams was injured in the third quarter of Monday night's 41-37 Dallas victory over Philadelphia while making a tackle on special teams. The Cowboys said Williams was scheduled for surgery, during which a plate and screws would be implanted to stabilize the left forearm fracture.

Doctors estimated that Williams will be out 3-4 weeks.

Williams was a first-round draft pick by Dallas in 2002. He's been selected for the Pro Bowl each season from 2003 through last year. As a collegian at Oklahoma in 2001, Williams won the Bronko Nagurski Trophy as the nation's top overall defensive player and the Jim Thrope award and the nation's top defensive back.
