Ramsay's puffin-eating draws complaints
LONDON, Sept. 16 (UPI) -- The British media regulator Ofcom said it received 42 complaints after Scottish celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay was seen eating a puffin on his show "The F Word."

The episode of the edgy cooking show featured Ramsay "sky fishing" for puffins, then chowing down on one's fresh heart.

Despite the complaints, Ofcom told the BBC Ramsay and the show face no penalties since the episode was shot in Iceland where puffins are part of the national diet.

The regulator also noted the birds were killed in a manner as to inflict minimal suffering and emphasized the show aired a warning shortly before the graphic scene was shown, the BBC said.
