Jimmy McCain, U.S. Marine and son of John McCain returns today

Jimmy McCain is returning to the U.S. along with his unit. He has been in Iraq for seventh months. McCain has rarely spoken about his son while campaigning for President.

Yesterday McCain did mention Jimmy to House Republican congressman who had gathered in private for a meeting. When learning of the son's return, the assembled cheered.

According to McCain, Jimmy McCain has personally seen a change in his seventh months in Iraq. He went from witnessing IED explosions daily to handing out soccer balls to kids by the end.

Jimmy McCain is a member Bravo 11, 1st Battalion, 1st Marine Division.

John McCain has been one of the few staunch defenders of the Iraq War.
