Paul McCartney Excited About New Video Game
LONDON, England Dec.5 (TOTI) --
Paul McCartney and The Beatles are the latest rock band to join the ranks of those putting out video games that feature their music.

The yet untitled game was announced by MTV Networks and Apple Corp. this fall and will be developed by Harmonix.

This company developed Guitar Hero which has sold 23 million units. The game teaches people how to play a simulated guitar using colored notes that correspond with colored notes being displayed on a television screen.

Harmonix produced Guitar Hero: Aerosmith which features the music of Steve Tyler and Aerosmith and was released in June, 2008.

In a statement Paul McCartney said, "The project is a fun idea which broadens the appeal of the Beatles and their music." He continued, "I like people having the oppotunity to get to know the music from the inside out."

The video game is expected to be released in 2009.
