Woman beats 4 year old relative to death over accident

Carla Poole of Minneapolis has done the unthinkable. She is being charged for the beating death of her four year old relative from Chicago.

"We lived together, side by side; that was one of my favorite cousins," said the boy's paternal grandmother, Charmon Brown. "It's hard to know that she had this much bitterness inside."

Carla Poole has been officially charged with with second-degree murder in the death of her cousin's son, Demond Reed. Demond Reed had been staying with Poole.

Poole has two small children who witnessed the incident. In fact, her sons were forced to hold Demond down while Carla Poole beat him.

The final straw was the "spanking" that Poole gave Demond on the day of his death. He did not recover from it, and his lifeless body laid in her house for two days before anyone was called.
