It's over for Mitt Romney, who appears ready to endorse John McCain's campaign for U.S. President.

Romney had been a front runner for the Republican nomination, in the early stages of the contest. But wins on Super Tuesday have catapulted John McCain to the forefront of the crowd. Romney's endorsement will help cement McCain's status.
Romney will also move his delegates to McCain's camp. McCain has 290 delegates at this point, which almost gives McCain the 1190 he needs to be formally declared as the Republican candidate.
John McCain plans to head to Boston to receive the endorsement of Mitt Romney today. Now the Republican picture becomes that much clearer.
