Rob Riggle Leaving The Daily Show
NEW YORK, NY. Dec.11 (TOTI) --
After two years on the Daily Show, Rob Riggle, 38, is leaving his post as a correspondent for the satirical program on Comedy Central.

Riggle's last appearance is December 12, 2008. In his words, Rob is leaving the show "to fight crime." In reality, he's signed a talent holding contract with CBS, home to the hit series Two and a Half Men, How I Met Your Mother and Gary Unmarried.

This holding contract also offers a development deal for Riggle to create and star in a half-hour comedy series of his own.

Of his move to a different network, Riggle said, "They've got some good sensibilities over there."

As for what his project with CBS, he said, "I've got a notebook full of ideas that I've been keeping for many years."
