The owner of Sam White Relics killed by explosion

Sam White, who operated the Sam White Relics website was killed by the type of relic he sold on his website, most likely a cannonball.

In another note of irony, Sam White had posted on his website: "will disarm, clean, and preserve your Civil War period and earlier military ordinance" for about $35 a piece. I've done approx. 500 artillery projectiles and still have all my fingers (I must be doing something right, knock on wood)!"

The explosion that killed Sam White was sufficiently large that 20 to 30 homes were evacuated because of it, just to be on the safe side.
