Nicole Street Safe After Being Held Hostage

This is one tale of hostage taking that has a happy ending. Nicole Street is safe and her captor, Robert Thompson is dead after police shot the man.
Ms. Street recounted her experience."He kept telling the officer he would shoot, he would shoot, he wasn't scared to. I thought I was going to die.
She was taken hostage after stopping to get gas in Brownsville, Oregon. Thompson grabbed her by the neck and dragged her to a closed store. He then put a gun into her back and pulled the trigger. Luckily, no bullet was released from the chamber. Police then shot him.
The family is grateful that Nicole is alive and well and is ready to "move on" from the incident.
Investigations into the case continue.
