Jonas Brothers New Years Resolution - 2009
Kevin, Nick and Joe Jonas had a very successful 2008, and they're hoping to do the same in 2009.
Twist magazine recently asked Joe Jonas, 19, what his resolution was for the New Year. He replied, "Hopefully, to just continue what we're doing now. We've had a really amazing year and are so thankful for the opportunities we've had!"
Opportunities indeed.
In 2008, the Jonas Brothers spent a lot of time on the road. They kicked off their Look Me In the Eyes Tour which featured a number of songs from their third studio album, A Little Bit Longer. The album was released in August and went certified Platinum in the United States. It went certified Gold in Spanish and Mexican markets, as well. Their Burning Up tour kicked of in July in support of the album which features the popular single, Lovebug.
The trio released Burning Up: On Tour With The Jonas Brothers, a book that documented their Burning Up concert tour, complete with photos and intimate details about their lives as they performed around the world.
The Jonas Brothers opened for Canadian rocker, Avril Lavigne, in the European leg of her tour that ran from late May to late June.
The Jonas Brothers graced the cover of the Rolling Stone magazine, were nominated for Best New Artist at the 51st annual Grammy Awards, and made several guest appearance throughout 2008.
Along with their music, Kevin, 21, Joe, 19, and Nick Jonas, 16, starred in the Disney film Camp Rock with Demi Lovato, 16.
The movie captured 8.9 million viewers on its' premiere on the Disney Channel. High School Musical 2 is the only Disney original film that had more viewers on its' original premiere.
Other television projects included the Jonas Brothers: Living The Dream, a reality TV short that followed the Jo Bros. on the North American leg of their Look Me In The Eyes tour.
Joe Jonas can say with certainty that his 2009 resolution will become a reality.
Disney has confirmed Camp Rock 2, the Jonas Brothers will be reprising their roles as Shane (Joe Jonas), Nate (Nick Jonas), and Jason (Kevin Jonas). Their younger brother Frankie, 7, will also have a role in the Disney original movie that begins production in 2009.
The Brothers have confirmed their sixth world tour will be launched in the new year, and they'll be releasing Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience in Canada and the United States on February 27, 2009.
Other projects for 2009 include numerous guest appearances, a new Disney show called J.O.N.A.S and the movie Walter the Farting Dog adapted from a book of the same name. Little brother, Frankie, will also star in the movie that marks the Jonas Brothers big screen debut.
