Jesse Grund Appears On Today Show
Jesse Grund appeared on the Today Show this morning and told the nation to give some time to Caylee Anthony's grandparents. Host Matt Lauer asked Grund why he thought there was a growing backlash against George and Cindy Anthony.
"I think the anger that a lot of people are feeling is because of Caylee, such an innocent little girl, being ripped out of our lives," Grund said. "I think we all need to keep in context, even those who are angry, that despite whatever the Anthonys have done, they're still grieving grandparents. Give everyone some time to be able to deal with the fact that she's gone from us."
Grund wasn't quite so sympathetic toward Casey Anthony. When asked what he thought Casey Anthony was capable of, Grund said he didn't know.
"I don't know what this Casey's capable of," Grund said. "I don't really know her at all right now, the way she is."
Grund, the former fiance of Casey Anthony cried throughout the interview.
"That's hard to swallow," Grund said. "You think you have someone you'll be a family with and spend the rest of your life with, and they end up a totally different person."
