XM Radio Cans Opie And Anthony
by Amy Ling in gossip

The age of shock jocks is winding down, much like what happened to the stars of the movie "The Incredibles". Nobody wants the liability of these superheroes of offensive commentary anymore, and the stars are being fired left and right. The latest shock jocks to get the axe are "Opie And Anthony" who have been fired by XM, who released this statement:

XM Radio announced today that the company has suspended Gregg "Opie" Hughes and
Anthony Cumia, hosts of "The Opie & Anthony Show" and ceased broadcast of
the show for 30 days, effective immediately.
XM Radio deplored the comments aired on "The Opie & Anthony Show" last
week. At the time, the company strongly expressed its views to Opie and
Anthony, and they issued an immediate apology.
Comments made by Opie and Anthony on yesterday's broadcast put into
question whether they appreciate the seriousness of the matter. The
management of XM Radio decided to suspend Opie and Anthony to make clear
that our on-air talent must take seriously the responsibility that creative
freedom requires of them.
Here are the incredibly offensive comments, if you haven't heard them already.
“that George Bush b****,” referring to U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.
“I’d love to f*** that b****. She needs a f***ing man,” said “Homeless Charlie.”
Co-host Anthony Cumia interrupted to say he "could just imagine the horror on Condoleezza Rice's face when she realized that you were holding her down and f***ing her."
"Punching her in the f***ing face and f***ing her," Charlie added, laughing.
XM has moved quickly to distance themselves from these two fools. The two went too far when they brought "Homeless Charlie" on the show and he made crude remarks about Condoleeza Rice.
Are you happy these jokers were fired?
