Amtrak delayed due to tanker leak

Trouble sprang from a railroad tanker car that was leaking corrosive material. It stopped this morning at the Amtrak Capitol Corridor train in Oakland, California.

According to Zoe Richmond, a spokesperson for Amtrak, "There was a tanker leak in our yard at about 7 a.m."

Amtrak commuters were stranded for up to a half hour and had to take BART instead.

Although it appears that a chemical spill occurred, details of what chemicals may have been involved have not been confirmed.
