Manny Harris's 16 points Sunday led five players who scored in double figures to pace No. 24 Michigan's 74-64 comeback win over Illinois.
The Wolverines trailed 39-38 at the break and 46-40 after Mike Davis's dunk with 17:36 remaining.
A layup by Laval Lucas-Perry gave Michigan a 64-62 edge with 4:57 left, a lead it kept until the final buzzer.
Lucas-Perry and DeShawn Sims scored 13 points apiece.
Two others scored in double figures, while Sims added nine rebounds for the Wolverines (11-3, 1-1 Big Ten), who have won six of their last seven games.
Calvin Brock's 13 points and seven rebounds led Illinois.
Demetri McCamey had 11 points, 10 assists and five rebounds, while both Mike Davis and Alex Legion scored 10 points for the Fighting Illini (13-2, 1-1), whose seven-game winning streak ended.
Michigan shot 49.1 percent (26-of-53) from the field to 45.2 percent (28-of-62) for Illinois.
Both teams committed just eight turnovers.
