FBI Announces Massive Hiring Campaign
WASHINGTON, DC., Dec.6 (TOTI) --


The Federal Bureau of Investigation has announced a major hiring campaign to kick off 2009.

The federal agency said that they're looking to hire almost 2,950 people. It's the biggest recruitment the FBI has had in 100 years.

The FBI is looking to fill 2,100 open positions in the following fields by January 16, 2009, according to a statement at the FBI.gov website.

  • Administrative/Clerical
  • Automotive Mechanic Professionals
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance Professionals
  • Electronic Technicians
  • Engineering Professionals
  • Fingerprint Examiners
  • General Education and Training Professionals
  • Finance/Accounting/Budget Analysis Professionals
  • IT/Computer Science Professionals
  • Intelligence/Analytical Professionals
  • Language Specialists
  • Management and Program Analysis
  • Physical/Natural/Social Science Professionals
  • Records Management Professionals
  • Security Professionals
  • Physical Surveillance Professionals
  • Human Resources Professionals

In addition to these open positions, the FBI is looking to add another 850 Federal Bureau of Investigation officers to their organization.

They're especially interested in multi-lingual job applicants or those that have experience in computer science, intelligence or other law enforcement backgrounds.

Assistant Director John Raucci, FBI Human Resources Division, said "The FBI is like no other career choice you've ever considered.
