COLUMBUS, Ohio, Jan. 10 (UPI) --
Nikita Filatov had his first NHL career hat trick Saturday to lead the Columbus Blue Jackets to a 4-2 triumph over Minnesota.
Derek Dorsett scored the other goal for Columbus and Jakub Voracek had three assists for the Blue Jackets. Columbus goaltender Steve Mason made 21 saves.
Antti Miettinen and Marek Zidlicky each had a goal and an assist for Minnesota. Josh Harding allowed four goals on 32 shots for the Wild.
With the score tied in the third period, Columbus took the lead when Dorsett sent the puck past Harding at the 2:22 mark. Less than three minutes later, Filatov made it a 3-1 game with a wrist shot.
Filatov completed his hat trick at the 6:34 mark.
