Miley Cyrus And Taylor Swift Share Jonas Brothers Bond
Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus have become friends. Their friendship is based on the common bond of being dumped by one of the Jonas Brothers. For Miley, it was youngest brother, Nick Jonas, 16, who broke her heart. For Taylor, it was Joe Jonas, 19, who left her for model Camilla Belle.
"I'm team Taylor," Miley told Twist. "I'm just sayin'!"
Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus didn't handle their hurt in the same way. Taylor went public, chastising Joe and writing songs about her heartbreak. Miley, for her part, kept her mouth shut, and sealed the hurt inside.
"I keep my mouth shut, but I make my point in a more discreet way," said Miley. "She gets to do it more obviously, so I love it. I love her."
To observers it looked like the duo's friendship might be heading for trouble when Taylor asked Miley's 21 year old boyfriend, Justin Gaston, to appear with her onstage and sing a romantic ballad. They couldn't have been more wrong.
"It meant my two best friends were onstage at the same time," said Miley.
The feeling is mutual, says Swift.
"It's great hanging out with Miley," said Taylor. "She's so full of life, I love her."
