Joaquin Phoenix Resurfaces
It was last October 27th. when Joaquin Phoenix stunned the world by announcing his retirement from the lucrative world of film acting. He was on the top of his game. Phoenix won universal praise for his role in Gladiator and later as Johnny Cash in Walk the Line. Now a troubling report in Star says the actor is in the midst of a downward personal spiral.
On New Year's Eve the actor was spotted at the Fountainebleu Hotel in Miami at the LIV Nightclub looking like a mess.
"It was bizarre and sad," said a witness. "He was completely out of it."
According to an insider, friends and family of the star had been trying to get him to take off from his stressful Hollywood career as his personal problems started to surface.
"His friends and family told him to take some time off," said the insider.
