Marcus Schrenker Captured In Florida
TALLAHASSEE, Fl., Jan.14 (TOTI) --

Marcus Schrenker, 38, was captured alive in Florida after attempting to fake his own death in a plane crash.

The former money manager for Heritage Wealth Management was found at a campsite near Quincy, Florida. According to officials, he was bleeding profusely from his wrists, in a suicide attempt. He was taken to a Tallahassee, Florida hospital for non- life threatening injuries and is being kept under guard.

On Tuesday, Marcus Schrenker was charged with unlawful acts by a compensated officer and unlawful transactions by an investment banker
in Hamilton County, Indiana. He's accused of defrauding investors through three companies. Officials froze all of his accounts in an effort to protect investors.

Marcus Schrenker was piloting a Piper PA-46 that was destined for Destin, Florida on Sunday. He departed from Anderson, Indiana and made a distress call while flying over Alabama. He told air traffic controllers that his windshield had imploded and that his head was bleeding.

It's believed that Schrenker then put the plane on auto-pilot and parachuted to safety, allowing the aircraft to crash. Officials say the plane nearly missed residential homes in East Milton, Florida.

Military pilots that were ordered to intercept the plane found the plane's door open and the cockpit dark. They then watched the plane crash.
No blood was found in the interior of the craft.

Schrenker's three companies, Heritage Wealth Management, Heritage Insurance Services and Icon Wealth Management are all under investigation for securities fraud in Indiana.

It was also reported that Marcus' wife, Michelle, filed for divorce in December. The couple has three children.
