Joaquin Phoenix did what few stars have ever been able to. He quit acting while he was at the top of the game. The actor is not one to sit around the house, though, resting on the laurels of his acting accolades. Instead, he's embarking on a new journey....that of a rapper.

According to In Touch, Phoenix showed up at Lavo in Las Vegas looking a good deal heavier and more unkempt than in the past and performed a rap for the audience.
Are we really expected to believe that Joaquin Phoenix is now going to rap for a living? Not likely. Casey Affleck and a film crew were filming his performance at Lavo for a "documentary" about his music career.
Phoenix is already running into major problems with the credibility of his latest venture. His appearance and mannerisms appear to be way over the top by anyone's standards.
The appearance of a film crew tells us that Casey Affleck is in on the joke with him. It's hard to believe he'd be filming the mental and physical disintegration of a friend with a detached view point. This staged meltdown is not really believable on many levels.
