Heart-shaped sticker tied to Caylee case

ORLANDO, Fla., Jan. 22 (UPI) --

A heart-shaped sticker appears to have been placed on the tape that covered the mouth of slain Florida child Caylee Anthony, documents say.

Court documents released this week said adhesive residue in the shape of a heart was on the tape found covering the toddler's mouth when her body was found in Orlando last month, the Orlando Sentinel said Thursday.

An unidentified Orange County police detective said it appeared the sticker had been intentionally placed on the duct tape.

A loose sticker of similar size to the adhesive residue was found near the site where Anthony's remains were found, the Sentinel reported.

The details regarding the sticker were released Wednesday along with other documents as part of the ongoing murder case against the slain 2-year-old's mother, Casey.

Attorney Jose Baez, who is representing Caylee's mother, told the Sentinel he had no specific comment regarding the new documents.

"I'm going to try this case in the courtroom, not on the courthouse steps," Baez said.
