George Anthony Found Alive
DAYTONA BEACH, Fl., Jan. 23 (TOTI) --

George Anthony, the grandfather of murdered Caylee Anthony, and father of Caylee's suspected murderer, Casey Anthony, is alive and in custody in Daytona Beach, Florida. His family reported the 57 year old man missing Thursday night. He was found in a Daytona Beach, Florida motel room by police, who then took him into custody.

He's being "stabilized in the emergency room." He was taken into custody under the Baker Act, which allows authorities to hold a person without charges for 72 hours for medical evaluation.

George Anthony went missing around Thursday at 4pm when he failed to show up for a meeting with the family's attorney, Brad Conway.

Even more ominously, he sent text messages to family members indicating he wanted to "end it all."

George Anthony, along with wife Cindy, have been outspoken in their defense of their daughter, Casey.

George Anthony is expected to remain at the Halifax Medical Center in Daytona Beach for at least the next 72 hours.
