GM To Offer 16 Hybrid Autos By 2010

by Lupe Lasano in business

GM says they will offer 16 hybrid autos in 2010

General Motors thinks hybrid cars will play a big part in the future of American drivers. In 2007 they sold 8,400 hybrids. By 2010, they plan on offering 16 different hybrid vehicles.

The company says its' improved gasoline-electric hybrid engines will fuel a push towards hybrids by mainstream consumers. They expect to sell 100,000 of the cars in 2010.

GM CEO Rick Wagoner said the rollout is imminent.

"We plan to roll out this next-generation hybrid technology globally, across our brands and regions," said Wagoner.
