Taylor Swift Is Just Being Herself
Taylor Swift is one of the "coolest" girls around these days. She's a hugely popular singer, with fans from coast to coast. But it wasn't always that way for her. In high school, Taylor Swift and her friends didn't fit in with the cool crowd.
"My friends and I took pride in the fact that we were the weirdest girls in high school," she told Tiger Beat. "We never fit in with the cool girls because we really didn't care what people thought. We has so much fun goofing off and acting crazy."
Taylor Swift and her buds weren't afraid of standing out from the crowd.
"We would go out to dinner in our prom dresses, accessorized with scarves, fingerless gloves, and costume jewelry," she said. "Sometimes we'd draw a beauty mark on our faces, wear a tiara and funny slippers. We didn't care!"
Taylor doesn't think anyone should care about being cool in high school.
"The best thing you can do in school is to not try to be cool," she said.
It looks like that philosophy has worked out well for her.
