Hurricane Ike Mystery Ship Revealed

There's nothing quite like a hurricane to stir things up both on land and in the water.

In the wake of Hurricane Ike, a mystery ship that was first made visible when Hurricane Ivan hit the Alabama Gulf Coast in 2004, has once again unveiled itself from underneath Alabama's sandy shores.

The ship that's believed to be a steam powered civil war era blockade runner revealed even more details four years later.

The wooden boat, which is about 150 feet long and 30 feet wide exposed a water pump and a long pipe runs down the center of the ship with smaller pipes nearby.

The presence of the mystery ship was first reported on by OrangeBeach.ws

The mystery ship is located at the 6 mile marker on Fort Morgan Road.
