Elliot Spitzer and the Emperor's Club VIP

Elliot Spitzer, the Governor of New York, has told senior aides that he was involved with a prostitution ring, presumably as a client, according to a report in the New York Times.

The escort agency, known as Emperor's Club VIP, was known to charge clients as much as $5,500 per hour for dating their escorts.

Few details have so far emerged of Elliot Spitzer's involvement.

The irony is that Spitzer is well known for his attacks on both "immorality" and shady business dealings. The married father of three will have quite a bit of explaining to do as the scandal unfolds.
