Michelle Patterson admits to affair

David and Michelle Patterson have both preemptively admitted to affairs, before David Patterson is sworn in as the new governor of New York. New Yorkers are rightfully wary of new sex scandals, after the Elliot Spitzer scandal has dominated headlines for weeks.

David Patterson said that both he and Michelle had affairs during a rocky patch in their marriage.

"Like most marriages, you go through certain difficult periods," said Michelle Patterson.

The two plan on outlining more details in a press conference scheduled for later today.
