Chris Brown Arrested For Allegedly Smacking Up Rihanna
Chris Brown and Rihanna looked like such a happy couple. For many months now the two have been spotted hanging out together in idyll romantic locations. Now the illusion of tranquility has been shattered as police have charged Brown with a felony in connection with domestic violence.
The incident occurred at 12:30 a.m on Sunday. Rihanna and Chris Brown were traveling together in a Lamborghini when their verbal disagreement caused Brown to stop the car. Both parties continued to argue outside of the vehicle.
The pair had just left a Pre-Grammy party at the Beverly Hilton when the trouble began.
"The exact charge was criminal threats and it is going to be investigated as a criminal threats investigation," said Police Sgt. Bridgett Pickett of the Los Angeles Police Department. "There may be domestic violence charges added later, but that will be up to the district attorney’s office."
Both Brown and Rihanna were supposed to perform at the Grammy Awards. The incident shocked people who knew the couple.
"Chris is a good kid, well brought up," said one.
