Roberto Alomar Sued In AIDS Scandal - Ilya Dall
In a scandal that threatens to drive A-Rod off the front pages, an ex-girlfriend of Roberto Alomar says the former baseball legend insisted on having unprotected sex with her, despite having full-blown AIDS. She is suing the infielder for $15 million.

By January of 2006, when Alomar came down with a cough and shingles, he finally got himself tested and discovered he had AIDS.
The 41 year old Alomar retired from baseball in 2005, citing "health problems."
His attorney refused to answer whether the baseball player was HIV-positive or not.
"We believe this is a totally frivolous lawsuit. These allegations are baseless," Charles Bach said. "He's healthy and would like to keep his health status private. We'll do our talking in court."
The allegations, if true, make the recent "steroid allegations" against ballplayers seem pretty harmless in comparison.
