Slowly but surely, more and more information is coming in concerning the Rihanna and Chris Brown domestic violence incident. The issues that tore the couple apart were jealousy, and petty disagreements that took a turn for the worse. The final straw, it appears, may have been due to Paris Hilton.
A new report in OK! Outlines the events that lead up the February 8th dustup. Trouble started as soon as Rihanna and Chris Brown hit Los Angeles on February 5th.
"They were in a nonstop argument," a source said. "He wanted to drive to the Grammy rehearsals in a sports car, and she was infuriated."
Chris sulked during the rehearsals, as Rihanna got ready for her performance. Onlookers noticed a great deal of tension between the two behind the scenes.
As the pair received gifts from the awards show, the contrast in their demeanor became obvious.
"Rihanna oohed and aahed over the jewelry, while Chris played a video game," an eyewitness said. "He got annoyed and told her they had to finish rehearsals."
That night, matters took a turn for the worse as Chris Brown and Rihanna attended the Verizon and Blackberry Storm Grammy at Boulevard 3. Chris chatted up Paris Hilton as Rihanna fumed.
"He and Paris went outside together,” an eyewitness said. "Paris was all over him. Rihanna caught wind of it and spent the rest of the night glued to him."
The night didn't get any better as the next stop was the Clive Barker party. Brown arrived alone and Rihanna came in a bit later. She forced a smile on the red carpet for the assembled photographers. Brown came back to the party but Rihanna ditched him.
"It was an awkward moment," said a source.
After that, they left the party in a Lamborghini and the rest is scandal history.
