The world's first Pregnant Man has arrived

Thomas Beatie was born as a woman, turned into a man, but is now pregnant. It's a development that has stunned the medical establishment.

Beatie "sort of" changed her sex, but nowhere near completely, leaving her reproductive organs in tact. He went on to live his life in Bend, Oregon, and ended up marrying Nancy. The two decided to have a baby, but learned that Nancy was unable. Their solution was for Mr. Beatie to get pregnant instead.

Beatie is expected to give birth in June of this year. He says the experience has been anything but easy. He wrote in "The Advocate": “Receptionists have laughed at us. Friends and family have been unsupportive; most of Nancy’s family doesn’t even know I’m transgender”.

Despite the difficulties, the couple is expecting a healthy child.
