American Express - At the Head of the Credit Card Class

Every Year, J.D. Power and Associates releases a survey that delves into the thoughts of credit card owners. This year's survey saw over 8,000 credit card owners questioned to find out which cards they like the best and the least and why. They then took all the information from the survey to rank all the credit card companies.

Coming out on the top of the list was American Express. Consumers said hands down American express offered the best rewards credit cards of all the companies out there.

Hotel Stay Credit Card Rewards
Cash Back Credit Card Rewards

While many cards offer similar features, customers say American Express goes above and beyond in those features as well as the special deals they offer to their customers to make them the best rewards credit cards, like being able to use their rewards points for sold-out concert tickets or to meet the stars of the U.S. Open, things that many people couldn't buy on their own, but can get with their card rewards.

Additionally, customers noted that American Express offers a lot of benefits to their customers that make them feel more important than just another card user.

Identity Theft Monitoring Programs
No Preset Spending Limits
Trip Insurance
Extended Warranties on Many Purchases
Emergency Assistance Services

While some of these services are offered by other credit cards as well, in many cases, customers are asked to pay extra for some of the services that American Express offers for free. Customers say it also seems the customer service at American Express is of a higher caliber.

This is the second year that American Express won the survey for customers finding them to be the best rewards credit cards on the market, and they don't plan to stop their winning streak now.
