MTV Networks delivered 57 million video downloads in a year

Between February of 2007 and February of 2008, MTV Networks streamed 57 million videos to visitors of their websites. That was an increase of 94% over the prior year.

"In record numbers, our fans are turning to their phones for engaging entertainment experiences, and finding MTV Networks video, mobile websites, games, widgets and more that connect with nearly every conceivable demo, on any occasion," said Greg Clayman, Executive Vice President, Digital Distribution and Business Development, MTVN. "We want to empower our consumers to go deep with our content on every platform, and with that in mind we continue to build a mobile portfolio with breadth and depth unrivalled in the industry."

MTV has been making the transition to more diversified revenues in the last year, including moving more videos to their online network.
