Chris Kunitz ,Eric Tangradi Traded To Pittsburgh Penguins For Ryan Whitney
The Anaheim Ducks announced their trade of Chris Kunitz and prospect Eric Tangradi to the Pittsburgh Penguins in exchange for Ryan Whitney.
Ryan Whitney is a 26 year old defenseman who has two goals and 11 assists this season.
Eric Tangradi is a Pennsylvania native who was a second round pick selected 42nd overall in 2007.
Chris Kunitz leaves the Ducks with 16 goals and 19 assists in 62 games this year.
Whitney led the Penguins in time on ice, but was considered expendable after Sergei Gonchar returned to the team following an injury.
Insiders say that more moves from the Ducks are expected in coming days.
