Rihanna Pregnant While Chris Brown Readies Self Defense Argument?
The Chris Brown Rihanna relationship is far from settled, and the case against Brown could take some interesting twists before it ends. A new report in Life and Style says Chris is ready to claim he only struck Rihanna in self defense.
“Chris is already building his case,” the insider said.
The way he would state his claim is to take courtroom visitors back to the night of the Grammy Awards and tell them what happened in the car. After Chris received a text message from a woman, Rihanna is said to have reacted angrily by throwing the phone at him.
“He's saying she threw a phone at him, then hit him in the head and basically just lost it,” the insider continued. “He's saying she attacked him.”
Of course the claims of self defense would have to stand up to a lot of scrutiny in court.
Star followed a different track for their cover story on Rihanna and Chris Brown. According to the tabloid, Rihanna was pregnant at the time of the attack, and said she was worried about what Chris' reaction to the news would be.
“Rihanna was afraid to tell Chris about it because she was sure he didn't want to have a baby,” a source said.
News of the alleged baby made Rihanna more determined than ever to hang on to Chris, which resulted in her smothering the singer.
“She was more in love with Chris than he was with her,” the source said. “He wanted some space, but she wouldn't let him go. He was feeling trapped by her.”
Rihanna feared what would happen when Chris learned the news.
“She was scared he would react badly.”
Insiders said Brown will probably rebound faster than Rihanna.
“Chris and Rihanna had big problems long before that night,” a friend said. “Chris realized months ago that he couldn't handle her. She's too much. She's too famous, too demanding. He doesn't want to go back to her. But he is pleading with her not to talk about this publicly. Chris just wants to forget all this happened so he can get back to work.”
Brown is scheduled to appear in court on March 5th to formally face charges.
Rihanna, say friends, hasn't mentioned anything about a baby or pregnancy since the incident.
