NBA: Cleveland 97, San Antonio 86

SAN ANTONIO, Feb. 28 (UPI) --

A 30-point effort from LeBron James Friday sent Cleveland storming to a big lead and the Cavaliers coasted to a 97-86 win over San Antonio.

James, who was held without an assist for the first time in his career in a loss to Houston 24 hours earlier, had four of them against the Spurs. He made 12-of-23 shots, helping the Cavaliers build as much as a 23-point cushion with 3:30 to play.

Delonte West added 17 points and both Daniel Gibson and Zydrunas Ilgauskas had 10.

San Antonio, playing without Manu Ginobili and Tim Duncan, did not have a player with more than 11 points. Duncan had hoped to play, but was held out because of continuing soreness in his right leg.

Cleveland won for the sixth time in seven games. The Spurs had a four-game winning streak snapped.
