A Forever Stamp means you pay 41 cents a letter
The U.S. Post Office introduced new postal rates today of 42 cents per letter. That is, unless you own a Forever Stamp.

Forever Stamp now sell for 42 cents each. If you purchased a Forever Stamp prior to today, it would have cost 41 cents. That means you can still send out letters at the old postage rate of 41 cents as long as you use a Forever Stamp.
The Post Office said they sold 64 million Forever Stamps each day as people ramped up for the savings. Forever Stamps are a way to lock in postage rates.
