Kevin Nealon Is Back In "Remarkable Power"
Kevin Nealon is one of those actors who doesn't seem to get that much credit, despite the fact he's always good. His new movie Remarkable Power is an independent feature which gives him a chance to flex his acting muscle.
The show stars off with a decent premise:
This is an exciting crime drama about a popular talk show host, Jack West (Kevin Nealon), facing cancellation and resorting to desperate means to save his career. In the meantime, his faithful wife demonstrates the fallacy of that pact; a young neophyte learns what street smarts mean; a private detective (played by Tom Arnold) reluctantly takes on a partner who is an artist and likes violently dead models; and a ruthless, Jewish drug dealer named Moses wants the money he is owed. These are just a few of the assorted denizens direct from central casting, complete with a strong dose of a popular daytime get-rich-quick infomercial, that drive this story and hold your attention to the last frame.
It sounds like the perfect vehicle for Nealon, 55, who is hilarious in his role as shady accountant Doug Wilson on Weeds.
Remarkable Power is in theaters this week.
