Lucian Freud's painting of a nude "Benefits Supervisor Sleeping" was sold last night during an auction held by Christie's. The cost was $35,000,000.00, which was substantially more than that paid for Jeff Koon's Hanging Heart. When people pay $35 million for a painting of a fat broad sleeping, it makes you wonder just how bad the recession really is. All in all, Christie's sold 57 paintings for nearly $350 million! It looks like the art biz is doing very well these days.Benefits Supervisor Sleeping
