Carrollton Bus Crash

by Lupe Lasano in this-and-that

Carrollton Bus Crash remembered on twentieth anniversary

Today is the twentieth anniversary of the terrible Carrolton Bus Crash. Family members and survivors are getting together to remember their loved ones.

On May 14, 1988, a pickup going the wrong way on Interstate 71 near Carrollton collided with a church bus.
27 people, mostly teenagers, were killed and several others were injured.
It's the deadliest alcohol related highway tragedy in our nation's history.
Wednesday, a wreath with 27 roses will be placed at the site and the Radcliff First Assembly of God will hold a candlelight vigil.

The Carrolton Bus Crash serves as a stern reminder of just how alcohol and driving never mix.
